How Can We Help!

The Friends of Euclid Creek have a history of public education and environmental advocacy. If you have questions on a certain topic or area of interest, see some of the areas we focus on including previous events below.

The Friends of Euclid Creek strives to promote environmental education and healthy sustainable practices to protect the Euclid Creek Watershed, Lake Erie, and our drinking water. As voices of the Euclid Creek, our goal is to not only build awareness but to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to foster the upcoming generations.

We do this by hosting educational events, walks throughout the Watershed, different hands-on workshops, and presentations. However, you do not have to live in the Euclid Creek Watershed; our programs are geared towards general public education regardless of location. We all have a part to play in the protection of not only the Euclid Creek Watershed but the Lake Erie Watershed, as well.

What Can You Do?

Ever think what difference one person can make?

or
Well, what can I do?

Helping preserve our natural environment and watershed is simple and can be as simple as reducing fertilizer on your lawn, finding a new deicer for your driveway, or simply not littering. Below, are a few steps that you can take to make a positive impact on your local watershed:

  • Dispose of non-recyclable plastic in the trash

  • Reduce or eliminate fertilizers and pesticides

  • Report strange odors and colors in any waterway

  • Pick up after your pet

  • Do not feed wildlife

  • Teach children to love and appreciate nature
