"Winter Hike through the East Branch of Euclid Creek with Roy Larick”
Join the Friends of Euclid Creek as we explore the East Branch of Euclid Creek through a guided hike in Euclid Creek Reservation with our watershed expert Roy Larick. This hike is a great way to get out and enjoy our natural ecosystems during the winter months and great event for the whole family! We will have snacks and hot drinks afterwards for those interested in sticking around for conversation.
We are looking forward for you to join us!

*Parking: please see the link above for directions to the Upper Highland Picnic Area, and also the attached map, where 'X" marks the spot.
*We will be hiking do please wear appropriate footwear for the terrain
*Tick repellant will be supplied for those who wish to have it

Come and join Friends of Euclid Creek at our annual meet and greet! Find out what Friends of Euclid Creek is all about and how you can help our environment! Each of our departments will have tables where you can learn more about their tasks and goals in your communities. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

"Tree ID Hike with Mike”
Ever wondered what trees are found in your backyard? Join the Friends of Euclid Creek on a guided tour with our Tree expert Mike. We will not only show you how to identify trees through bark and leaves, but also go over maintenance for the average home owner, identifying tree health, how trees benefit our local ecosystems and your backyard, and how to successfully plant them.

We will show you how to identify trees through bark and leaves and go over maintenance for the average homeowner, identify tree health, explain how trees benefit our local ecosystems and your backyard, and how to plant trees successfully.
This is fun for the whole family, as we will have tree-based activities for our littlest arborists.
*Snacks and beverages will be provided.
*The picture below will show you where to park and where we will meet. You would enter the Highland Heights Community Park and drive down to the swimming pool area. There will also be signs.
*Please wear appropriate hiking shoes, the event is also weather-dependent so we will keep an eye on the weather and keep you notified.

"Native Fish Sampling Event”
Join The Friends of Euclid Creek, the Ohio chapter of Native Fish Coalition, and the Cleveland Metroparks for our Native Fish stream sampling event. We will not only teach you how to identify Native Fish but also how you can also sample on your own! Additionally, the event will teach how to test water quality. This event is a great hands-on learning experience for families and youth, so we can't wait to see you there!!!
Event will be rain or shine, but will be rescheduled due to severe weather (heavy rain and or thunder and lighting).
